Enough is enough!

I know we need rain. It is important to life on Earth, but does it have to be all at once? We have had twenty some odd days with rain (in fact, that has set a record of the number of days straight with rain) and this gloomy weather is affecting me. I want to see the sun! It came out a little yesterday, but storms moved back in again last night and it is cloudy again today.

What do you do when the weather is like that? How do you lift your spirits when it hangs around and around? I'm thinking of painting a mural of a beautiful sunny day on a large shade, and then when it happens, drawing it down so when I'm writing I think it's a gorgeous day.

I love the shade idea! A simple thing I do to cheer up is put on some beautiful cheerful music, it usually works. :-)

You could think of us in California who are facing 100 degrees tomorrow--in May! However, I think uplifting music is probably a better idea. How about the song from Annie, The Sun'll Come Out Tomorrow?

I'm with Keli! Not only is it hot but its dry, which too often mean fires. :(
My house was built vaulted ceilings with no insulation, which we've lowered and insulated all but our bedroom, so when it rains I love to lay snuggled in bed and listen to it hitting the roof. Of course, we don't get enough rain to do that very often!

Holly and Keli, I hope you all get some rain. It so often is feast or famine when it comes to rain. And believe me, this area will go through it in July and August with high temperatures and no rain.

Keli, love that song. I've been saying, "Rain. Rain go away come again another day."

Curl up with a good book. Have to make myself come out and play with the boys. LOL! I don't mind rainy days, as long as I don't have anywhere that I have to go, like work or an important appointment. Even then, I don't mind if the rain happens when I'm not on the road or getting in/out of the car.

I have to admit, the only weather that really gets me is tornadic weather. SOOOOOOO stressful. Maybe you could send some of that rain to Minneapolis.

Patricia, I love curling up with a good book.
Linda, I know what you mean about tornadoes. We have a lot of watches and warning here, especially in the spring.
